After his school days Lars joined the military, where he did his basic military service of nine months with Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. The military service wasn't the best choice, so he searched for something new after having finished it . He decided to go to college to study biology. While he was occupied with the course, which had already been a half-year, Anette came home from the juggler's class to show her how she was able to juggle after three days. Lars was thrilled and wanted to learn more. He decided to drop out of college and went to the juggler's academy. In the school he studied fire breathing and juggling among other things. Then he traveled with two of his classmates through Europe performing as touring artists performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. He came across a circus for children two years later and learned street theatre and children's theater as and pantomime.
